Sea Based Time Trial
Time & Location
About the Event
We are running 4 sea based time trails throughout the summer season.
250m - 3rd May:
500m - 31st May:
1000m - 27th June
15000m - 29th August
This event will run following a similar format to any one of our training sessions. It will start and finish in the water.
Swimmers will be required to bring their own swim hats.
This is not a competition - this is a time trial. The purpose of these events is to engage swimmers in sea-based events.
The swim is based at the Royal William Yard/Firestone Bay, Plymouth.
Safety cover will be provided by qualified lifeguards.
Swimmers MUST adhere to the government's social distancing rules.
A wetsuit is preferred - Tow Floats are optional. If you wish to race without a wetsuit, approval must be granted first.
To access this event swimmers must be registered to a club (swimming or triathlon) or have previous experience with Ace Swimming and must be able to provide a 400m time.
The water temperature will be between 12-18 degrees. We will provide support in the water but it is the swimmer's responsibility to ensure they warm up before and after the event.
We do not take any responsibility for the arrival or departure. We would however ask that all participants (and spectators) respect social distancing, especially on land. As spectators, please be aware of the size of your group.
